Pre-Treatment Preparation Guide
Prior to your appointment please read the guidelines below
PRE SMP TREATMENT GUIDE
3 days before Treatment
- Begin Scalp Conditioning
- Avoid harsh exfoliants, anything that may irritate the skin
- Keep your scalp protected from sun exposure.
- If head shaving is part of your routine, pause until Day 1 to allow the skin to settle.
2 Days Before Treatment
- Maintain Hydration & Scalp Health
- Continue moisturising the scalp.
- If dryness persists, apply a light layer morning and night.
- Drink plenty of water to keep the skin hydrated from within.
- Avoid alcohol, excess caffeine, and salty foods that can dehydrate the skin.
- Refrain from sun exposure or tight hats that may cause irritation
The Day Before Treatment
- Shave the head using your usual method (electric shaver or wet razor). Aim for an even, consistent finish so density and hairline flow can be clearly assessed.
- After shaving, avoid heavy moisturisers, oils, or aftershave balms.
- Avoid sweating, sun exposure, saunas, or anything that may irritate the scalp.
- Stay well‑hydrated and get a good night’s sleep.
- If facial hair is groomed to complement the SMP look, tidy it today
ON THE DAY OF TREATMENT
- Wash the scalp in the morning with a gentle cleanser.
- Do not apply moisturiser, sunscreen, oils, or styling products.
- Eat a normal meal and stay hydrated for comfort throughout the session.
- Avoid excess caffeine or energy drinks, as they may increase scalp sensitivity
